“Wanted: The Perfect Pet” is a great children’s book by Fiona Roberton. Henry wanted a dog, the perfect pet more than anything in the world, so he put out an ad. A duck wanted a friend more than everything in the world, so when he saw Henry’s ad he  pretended to be a dog. Henry was so excited he had a dog, but then the ducks disguise got ruined and Henry saw he was a duck. The duck was so sad and so was Henry, but he made a list about all the things the duck was good at. I can make several connections to the book. The first connection I can make is text to self. I can connect this book to myself, because I really want a dog, and so did Henry. The second connection I can make is text to text. I can connect this book to the book to the book “A Dog’s Purpose” because the dog in that book is the perfect pet. The last connection I can make is text to world, because half the population have dogs. Overall this is a great book.
